Open Assessment Technologies is looking for an experienced IT Product Manager to deliver projects on time and within the defined budget and scope while meeting the expectations and needs of our clients.
As a Project Manager at OAT, you will help strengthen our PMO team and contribute to the success of our clients and projects. The IT Project Manager is a crucial team-member responsible for the project delivery and improvement processes. In order to achieve this, you will partner closely with the stakeholders to ensure the maximization of benefits for our clients and the company.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project scopes, milestones, and objectives, documenting them meticulously and overseeing the project’s execution in alignment with the established plan.
- Project Delivery: Ensure on-time, on-budget, and within-scope project deliveries.
- Resource Management: Strategically plan and allocate resources to optimize project execution.
- Change Management: Employ suitable methodologies to manage changes in project scope, cost, schedule, and other key performance indicators defined by the department.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and escalate issues to management as necessary.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and all project stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk analysis and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the project budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring that resource utilization is in line with financial constraints. Report on budget variances as needed.
- Vendor Management: If necessary, coordinate with third-party vendors or subcontractors, managing their contributions and performance to meet project objectives.
- Team Development: Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, providing guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their performance and skills.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any conflicts or issues within the project team, maintaining a harmonious and focused working environment.
- Resource Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to optimize resource utilization, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining quality and meeting project goals.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the work delivered by the team meets the highest standards of quality, adhering to established best practices and quality assurance protocols.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication channels with team members, stakeholders, and management, providing regular updates on resource allocation, progress, and potential issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- Qualities: You are highly organized, analytical, and a team player.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, combining IT and functional expertise.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills for both internal and client-facing interactions.
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of the Atlassian suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
- Agile Expertise: Experience in Agile software development and story writing.
- SDLC Knowledge: Solid understanding of software development life-cycle and the ability to integrate traditional and Agile project management practices to meet project and customer business requirements.
- Certifications: Possession of certifications like Prince2, Agile/Scrum, ITIL, or other relevant certifications is an advantage.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
