As a Scrum Master at Open Assessment Technologies SA, you will act as a leader to encourage, enable, and energize our cross-functional team to realize their full potential while enabling the Agile mindset.
As Scrum Master you will be responsible for:
- Organizing the agenda and executing procedures under your responsibility (internal ones with autonomy and external ones, backed up by the leader)
- Planning the execution of the sprint’s activities autonomously
- Critically analyzing the performance indicators while identifying the root causes and defining action plans to enhance them
- Establishing effective retro meetings while ensuring the resolution of the action points
- Solving conflicts in the team while sharing the events with the leaders and involving them in critical or delicate situations
- Forming a self-managed team
- Ensuring the correct usage of the tracking tools by the team members (JIRA)
- Participating in the evolution of the Scrum framework and processes
- Running required ceremonies efficiently in their team while encouraging and motivating their team members to participate actively
- Ensuring that the “definition of done” is occurring throughout the sprint
- Ensuring the root-cause analysis is being performed periodically to define the main quality issues
- Identifying the blockers during the business detailing while ensuring they are solved before the development starts
- Elaborating and executes autonomously plans to mitigate risks that may impact the sprint
- Identifying project risks, escalating them to the stakeholders and supporting the project manager in elaborating a mitigation plan
- Ensuring the code review flow execution
- Ensuring that the team knows non-functional requirements
- Acting as a sounding board for peers and more junior members
- Collaborating with HR in interviewing candidates with empathy and treats them all with equal respect
Qualifications and Skills of our future Scrum Master should have:
- A deep understanding of Agile and Lean and their methodologies (Scrum, Kanban and SAFe)
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
- Fluency in English
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments while showing confidence and peace of mind
- Ability to provide guidance proactively in adverse scenarios resolution
- A sense of responsibility to inspire the team through their behavior
- Faculty to inspire teammates and to guide them through their individual results
- Flexibility and a high degree of accessibility for informal support an advice
- Mentorship skills to guide people to realizations rather than providing the answer
