OAT Appoints Mark Molenaar as Chief Technology Officer

We’re thrilled to announce the appointment of Mark Molenaar as Chief Technology Officer at OAT.

Mark will lead product strategy and roadmap, oversee TAO technology evolution, and further develop the company’s relationship with the open source community and Ed Tech partners.

Mark joins us from Cito, one of the world’s leading testing and assessment companies, based in the Netherlands. During his 13-year tenure at the company, Mark served as Chief Information Officer and held a wide range of responsibilities, including enterprise architecture, product roadmap, business and IT alignment, and leading a team of enterprise architects and information analysts.

Mark’s first involvement with OAT dates back to 2012. At the time, he led Cito’s technology due diligence of TAO, culminating in Cito’s investment in OAT. Since then, Mark has collaborated with the OAT team on many fronts, most notably as the Vice Chair of the Executive Board in Assessment at IMS Global.

“Mark has spearheaded an outstanding range and diversity of assessment products,” said Marc Oswald, Co-Founder and CEO of OAT. “We’re thrilled to have him onboard and bring his incredible industry experience to the company.”

“I’ve always admired the innovation and impact TAO has on the assessment industry,” Mark said. “I’m honored to take on this role and look forward to continue growing and improving the TAO technology platform.”
