How TAO Supported 900,000 Digital Assessment Sessions for PISA 2025
The OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) is one of the world’s most influential international education studies, requiring secure, reliable, and comparable assessment delivery across diverse languages, infrastructures and testing environments.
For PISA 2025, working alongside the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and consortium partners, TAO supported the delivery of more than 900,000 assessment sessions across 91 countries and economies in 54 languages, while enabling both online and offline assessment delivery through a single integrated platform.
The project required a unique combination of scalability, flexibility, reliability and assessment expertise to support consistent delivery at global scale.
The result was an award-winning implementation that established a new benchmark for large-scale digital assessment delivery and demonstrated how modern assessment technology can support complex international programmes without compromising quality, security, or performance.
