Managing users using hierarchies

Organizational units (OUs) are composed of users and groups. This section provides instructions for admins on how to manage users within the OU structure. Though TAO Portal can be configured without a hierarchical structure, using the hierarchy structure ensures that users included in an OU cannot access data in a different OU.

This feature needs to be enabled by an administrator. Please contact your administrator if you want to use it.

Viewing Users

1. Navigate to the Users section in the main menu of the TAO Portal.

2. View the list of users, which includes a column displaying the OU path each user is assigned to.
