Linking deliveries to scoring projects

Once scoring project has been created, one or more TAO deliveries must be linked to it before the manual scoring process can start.

To link a delivery to a scoring project, follow the steps below.

1. Enter the scoring project.

Go back to the Scoring Projects page and click on the ENTER button on the right of the new scoring project.

The main page describing a scoring project contains three headings: DELIVERIES; ENROLLMENT; MONITORING & REASSIGNMENT, as shown on the image below.

2. Click on the blue LINK DELIVERIES button on the top right of the page.

A list of possible deliveries will appear, as in the image below, for example.

3. Choose a delivery.

You may be able to see the delivery you are looking for on the list directly. If the list is long, however, it may be preferable to use the search button to find the one you are looking for.

Note: Of the two deliveries shown in the image above, only the second can be linked to the new scoring project because the first one has unresolved issues, as described in Accessing TAO deliveries.

4. Return to the main page for that scoring project and click on DELIVERIES.

The delivery or deliveries which are linked to that project will be displayed.

On this screen you can see basic information on the deliveries: the delivery test title and the scoring criteria (i.e. the subject field of the items in them), as well as the time they were sent.

Click on the DETAILS button for more information about a particular delivery. This will show you the items of that delivery which need manual scoring, with the information as described in the chapter Accessing TAO deliveries.

Note: If there is a discrepancy between the way scoring tasks should be assigned in the project (either by item group (i.e. subject category) or by test-taker group) and the information provided by TAO with the delivery, you will be made aware of this discrepancy and asked if you would like to proceed. (In some cases, for example, the delivery comes with a subject criteria defined for scoring, such as English or Math, whereas the Assignment strategy of the scoring project states that scoring tasks are to be assigned according to test-taker group. In this case the subject category will not be used at all.)
